Bohol

I went to Bohol last Feb. 13-15 2012 via Air Philippines. I went with my co-workers namely Trina, Norvin and Kim. We stayed in Dumaluan Beach Resort. I asked the help of Bohol Sun Valley Tours and Travel for our itinerary and accommodation.

1st Day- Just enjoyed the beach and the pool

I and Trina came earlier due to flight changes. Since we were still waiting for Norvin and Kim, we tried the resort’s beach and the clean pool. The pool has a section for kids and has a life guard on duty. When Kim and Norvin arrived, it was very late in the afternoon so we just all rested and after a while decided to stroll along the beach and look for a place to have our dinner. It was Valentine’s Day so the restaurant prepared a band to sing love songs for their guests. We enjoyed the food, the serene place and the romantic ambience. We saw a “fun spa”. It’s fish spa actually and we tried it! The fish will clean your feet and we all can’t stop giggling! The resort is decorated with hearts in celebration of the V-Day.

2nd Day – Bohol Country Side Tour
We had our breakfast buffet. The foods are traditional Filipino breakfast such as fried egg, tocino, tapa and longganisa. We had watermelon for dessert.

power four strikes again!

*Baclayon Church and Musuem
The most preserved Church in Asia and oldest Church in Bohol. The museum is the home of antique chairs, musical instruments, bibles, holy images and other sacred things of Baclayon Church. Taking pictures is not allowed inside the museum.

 Welcome to the conservation!

what a big face of the tarsier! joke only..

almost touching it!

*Loboc River Cruise
Located in the Municipality of Loboc, a mere 24 kilometers away from Tagbilaran City, the winding river plays host to cruisers on board small bancas or floating restaurants. We had our buffet lunch here. I sort of got dizzy in the cruise. Thank God the cruise didn’t really leave the place because the current is so strong since it rained.

*Bilar Man-Made forest
The Bohol Forest is a man-made mahogany forest stretching in a two-kilometer stretch of densely planted Mahogany trees located in the border of Loboc and Bilar towns. Before and after this man-made forest are the naturally grown forests of Loboc and Bilar which are thick with a kaleidoscope of green foliage, different species of trees and giant ferns lining the road.

Nature trip!

oh I love the smell of the air!

*Chocolate Hills
The famed Chocolate Hills of Bohol are not only two but more than 1,268 cone-shaped hills – a very strange geological formation that has baffled a lot of geologists. The hills are spread over an area of 50 square kilometers or more and vary in size from 30 meters to 120 meters in height.

*Loboc Eco Tourism Park
After scaring ourselves with the huge python, our tour guide this time decided to give us more excitement. We went to Loboc Ecotourism Park to frighten ourselves even more! We tried the zip line and the cable car. Trina as usual begged off from this once in a life time experience. The zip line is around 600 meters long while the cable car has the distance of 420 meters, both with the height of 100-120 meters. I enjoyed the cable car because the view below is astounding. You'll see the Loboc River and the lush, green scenery. It was really relaxing.

Super Norvin!

3rd Day- Balicasag and Virgin Island Hopping
We left the resort very early in the morning to watch the dolphins. Unfortunately we weren't able to see them because there were a lot of tourists too and the dolphins maybe got scared. We just proceeded to Virgin Island to stroll and later to Balicasag to swim and snorkel.

time to say goodbye!

Still flashing our smile even if we have to leave Bohol and face our work in Manila..*sigh*

I will always choose Bohol as one of my summer destinations. I really had fun in this place. I am recommending this tour for my friends, co-workers, family and loved ones! So what are you waiting for? Grab a ticket and explore Bohol!
